About
I am an R&D Tax Manager in the Innovation and R&D team at Menzies LLP. I assist my clients by helping them realise the potential and scope of tax reliefs available for their business and industry. Once established, I look to guide them through the process, ensuring that they meet the legislative requirements and provide a robust and complete tax relief claim.
My advisory work allows me to aid a number of different sectors including those within Manufacturing, Software, Engineering, Pharmaceutical and Architecture along with varying sizes of companies.
With a background in science, particularly physics, I have the technical knowledge and soft skills to advise my clients throughout the process. Whether it be the financial side, such as understanding what expenditure qualifies and how to present this, or the technical side in preparing and arranging detailed reports to support and justify a claim by working closely with my clients’ technical staff.
In between my time spent preparing tax relief claims, you will find me pursuing my hobbies which include playing acoustic guitar, weightlifting, travelling and gaming. I also have strong interests in technology, science, live music, ice hockey, the motor industry and history.
