I am a Manager within Menzies’ Corporate Tax Team at our London office and oversee a portfolio of clients, with a specific focus and expertise working in the SME sector.
I help my clients in a number of ways from compliance matters to providing proactive advice and tax planning and solutions to benefit my clients, which may be in financial terms or changes in procedures that may address challenges they face.
I have been fortunate enough to have some great experiences in my time at Menzies, but I would have to say that one of my proudest moment was when I was at another firm, I dealt with the affairs of a British rower who won several gold medals at various Olympics and that of his wife who was the Physio for the England team at those events. They did not have the necessary support in dealing with tax and accounting compliance matters and within a few weeks of taking over the work, the paid me the highest compliment when they said “We appreciate you taking care of such matters enabling us to concentrate our respective sporting careers.”
There are a number of things in my life that bring me joy, but I really enjoy my food – eating more than cooking – although I enjoy putting on the apron and trying out different recipes.
