Companies House will increase its fees from 1 May 2024, with Companies House noting that the changes are being made to “bring them in line with the costs of providing our service”.
The fees are being increased to bring them in line with the costs of providing their service and new powers introduced under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act.
A Companies House spokesman stated that “This will enable the cost of investigative and enforcement activities that promote the integrity of the register, maintain a healthy business environment and combat economic crime, to be met through fees.”
Although the new fees appear to have increased substantially, some like the filing fee have not increased since 2016.
The increase to the fees should see Companies House deliver a better service and allow accountants, investors etc. to access accurate information on the register, providing better integrity for the service, and information held on the registers.
