Working towards a healthier planet
As a responsible business, Menzies places particular focus on all its stakeholders’ expectations and interests.
With climate change, plastic pollution and other environmental threats being of major concern to all of us, we recognise that environmental guardianship is part of our responsibilities. More so, the Firm wishes to actively contribute to a healthier planet by raising awareness and seeking environmentally friendly solutions where possible.
When upgrading our hardware systems, much of our previous IT equipment is made redundant. To deal with this responsibly, we engage an expert supplier to help us recycle the retired kit or, if functional, donate it to schools and charities. Not only does this ensure the data stored is erased securely and properly, but it also reduces our ecological footprint.
Collectively, we have steered away from single-use plastics and provide drinks from glass jugs during meetings. The Firm works hard on improving the office recycling and we aim to add different waste streams where and when possible. Moreover, we greatly encourage the use of electric and hybrid vehicles and advocate the instalment of electric charging points across all offices.
We wish to pave the way for a greener Menzies, and we are excited about all there is to come and eager to share our progress.
