We raised £22K for Cancer Research UK in 2022!
Our policy has always been to support and to fund projects that result in tangible outcomes and real benefits to the people in our communities.
Here follows a summary of what we’ve managed to achieve and the wonderful efforts our staff have gone to.
Cancer Research UK
In 2023, Cancer Research UK was our firm-wide charity. Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, influence and information. We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.
January
Menzies walked the world in January 2022! Our staff reached 60 million steps in the month, the equivalent of walking around the Equator. The overall office winner was Cardiff and have chosen to donate the money raised to their local charity, Layla-Mae Appeal.
June
Our Brilliant staff brought the rainbow to our offices to raise money for MindOut. As we recognised and celebrated pride month across the firm, we managed to raise £365!
July
Our team have the opportunity to give back to their local community with our annual ‘Make a Difference Week’, doing something other than providing great services to our clients. Just a few of the activities included:
The Huggard Centre
We donated to the Huggard Centre, a charity tackling homelessness and seeking to overcome the problems and barriers that force individuals to sleep rough on our streets.
Planet Patrol
Planet Patrol is a free app that helps volunteers gather photographic evidence of litter. Planet Patrol exists to protect, preserve and restore nature by addressing the pressing threats of pollution.
Motiv8
Landscaping and painting at Motiv8, a charity helping vulnerable young people by providing them with a safe space and mental health support in Portsmouth, Gosport and Fareham.
September
All of our offices donned their finest aprons to bring some delightful treats for World Largest Coffee Morning. Cakes, cookies, cupcakes and coffee, while supporting Macmillan Cancer Support! What more could you want?
October
We had our ‘Wear It Pink‘ Day 2022 in support of Breast Cancer Now. Our offices dressed up pink, and made their offices pink too with decorations and cakes!
December
We had our firmwide Christmas jumper day to start the weekend in festive spirits, with donations going to Save the Children UK! Here are a couple photos from our Heathrow and Leatherhead Offices!
